A day with My Sheet Music Transcriptions vol. 2 – Colomé, Guitar Transcriber and Assistant Manager

Today we bring you the second blog post of our behind the scenes series. Aren’t you curious yet? Keep reading then!

This time is Colomé’s turn, our Transcriber and Assistant Manager.

Hello hello! What’s up, folks? Today I will sneak into Colomé’s daily routine at the office. He joined the team a year ago as a guitar transcriber and now he also is an Assistant Manager.

What does he exactly do?

The first thing Colomé does when he arrives at the office is setting up the workplace. He really puts effort into being comfortable and keeping his space clear -boy, we all would like to have such organizational skills.

Obviously, he is one of the “to-do list” kind of people: he always checks every little task that needs to be done that day. That’s why he loves Trello, a great app we all use to organize our work at the office -hey Trello guys, if you are reading us, make Colomé a sponsor!

Once he is totally prepared, focused, and set up, he starts working. Colomé is already a veteran transcriber and now also an Assistant Manager. He’s been enjoying his new position because, as he says, he feels “part of the inner workings of the company”. It is nice to know you help the team run smoothly, making sure everything flows efficiently. We believe a company succeeds if everyone is part of one same engine.

Nerdy and creative

We sure value nerdiness at My Sheet Music Transcriptions. Colomé proudly describes himself as one, and especially when it comes to music. He really takes it seriously, as he’ll even study Music and Sound Technologies this year. Before that, Colomé also studied Composition. He sure is a well-versed man.

All that explains why his favorite task is arranging music. For Colomé, arranging is great because it involves creativity and can be really challenging for him as a composer. Here, every arrangement is unique and created specifically for each order. So, what are you waiting to get your arrangements done? You would make Colomé really happy!

The best lunch buddy

We all want to have lunch with Colomé at the office. Not only he’s nice and friendly but he brings good snacks to share -yum… now I crave some of his hummus!

Lunchtime is the time to check on your workmates and create bonds. What is better than sharing food while chatting about music and life in general? That gives you more motivation to keep working, as it creates a friendly environment.

#FunFact: At the office, we say that Colomé is so polite that when he asks for a pencil seems like a marriage proposal.

And… That’s basically all for today!

Stay tuned if you want to know more about the rest of our team! We’ll be posting one of these every week so you can get to know us all. Also, if you have any questions for Colomé, leave them in the comment section and he’ll answer them!
