Behind the Scores – Charles Mandracchia: from Barcelona to Broadway
Welcome back to Behind the Scores, the section where we dive into our customers’ stories! In this post, we’ll travel from Barcelona all the way to Broadway (New York). And we’ll introduce one of our most special and regular customers: Charles Mandracchia.

Over the past two years of partnership, Charles Mandracchia–multiple Emmy Award-nominated director, producer, composer, actor, 3D animator, and writer–and My Sheet Music Transcriptions have collaborated on almost thirty projects, including several pieces of sheet music each.
They are part of his latest work, “From Corinne’s Heart”, a moving and inspiring musical film.
“The story of Corinne is of great importance. It is inspired by true events […]. The essence of the music is pure heart and complete honesty. Beautiful melodies were faithfully captured in the beautiful orchestrations.”
Charles Mandracchia & My Sheet Music Transcriptions
“I decided to use My Sheet Music Transcriptions because I felt they could capture my voice as a composer and Broadway artist. Customer service was hands-on and ready when I needed them. They took special care of my needs, paying very close attention to all my little vocal intricacies and the small details my music needed. The turnaround was fast and excellent.”
In this project, the pieces we work on at My Sheet Music Transcriptions are composed and written by Mandracchia. Afterward, we take over and create the piano & vocal arrangements, as well as some orchestrations. We also work on the mock-up production and mixing and mastering of the demo with recorded vocals, which have been previously recorded in New York.
“They are musical experts, understand the artist first time around […], and extremely talented musicians/arrangers. They can play wonderfully and, very importantly, capture the voice of the composer/artist FAITHFULLY when they are transcribing my vocals or raw music.”
While working on the first pieces, frequent calls and emails with detailed instructions were common. But now, Mandracchia’s regular team at My Sheet Music Transcriptions has understood and internalized his voice as an artist, and with just a few directions, are able to deliver top notch results.
“The best and most important part was when I would give specific notes on the music they worked on for me, those notes were respectfully followed and were spectacularly completed greatly to my satisfaction.
All that is why I went all the way to completion with My Sheet Music Transcriptions. I truly LOVE the results.”

About Charles Mandracchia and “From Corinne’s Heart”
Director, producer, composer, actor, 3D animator, writer, and Emmy Award-nominated Charles Mandracchia is active in the Off-Broadway scene. Born in Brooklyn, New York, during his stage career, he has performed in Original Broadway casts. Some of them are Grand Hotel, South Pacific, and Porgy and Bess.
Over the years, Mandracchia has also produced a number of animated movies and TV shows that have been nominated for Emmys. The composer is currently working on his next project: “From Corinne’s Heart”, a project that holds great significance for him.
““From Corinne’s Heart” is inspired by true events. Corinne dreamed of becoming a world-class figure skater. Diagnosed with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, she cannot accept her misfortune until the love of Tony gives her hope and a small miracle”.
“What makes it important is Corinne’s will to succeed, overcoming all the obstacles in her life. Corinne remains hopeful, caring, and loving no matter what she is up against. She believes in herself and encourages others.”
The music that represents this moving story, which we have the pleasure of working on, is carefully composed and written by Mandracchia. Speaking about the essence of his music, the composer notes the following:
“The essence of the music is pure heart and complete honesty. Beautiful melodies were faithfully captured in the beautiful orchestrations. Combining musical truth with a great Broadway vocalist made for a standout musical film.”
