Highlights of My Sheet Music Transcriptions at Scoring Notes
My Sheet Music Transcriptions has been featured in Scoring Notes, the most popular news blog on music notation worldwide!
During the NAMM Show 2025, Oriol López, our CEO and founder, and Philip Rothman, Editor and Principal Contributor of Scoring Notes, had one of their interesting conversations. They talked about cutting-edge developments in our field of expertise, and our perspective on the music transcription industry and its future.
Their discussion led to an interview that is now available on the Scoring Notes website and YouTube channel. However, we are dropping some highlights here:

My Sheet Music Transcriptions, where ear training nerds and tech wizards meet
For Philip Rothman, one of the highlights of the interview was Oriol’s take on the nature of transcribing and the technological revolution that is upon us. It is the most relevant debate in the industry today.
He said that technological advancements, such as AI-based tools for lyrics recognition, stem separation, and MIDI mapping, are complementing My Sheet Music Transcriptions’ manual processes, but emphasized that human expertise remains crucial for high-quality transcription.
Once again, why the NAMM Show?
During the interview, Oriol also explained why the NAMM Show is so important for My Sheet Music Transcriptions:
In addition to taking meetings and developing business relationships, “NAMM also like reminds us all why we are doing this — you see those shiny guitars, people enjoying hitting the floor and trying out clarinets, saxophones, playing their pianos. This reminds us music notation nerds what we are here for!”.
The podcast format of this engaging interview will come out in a few days. Stay tuned!
