Top 2019 until the moment

Top 2019 artists – so far

We know that 2019 is not finished yet and lots of things can happen before we reach December 31st; but since we are here, on the early days of the penultimate month of the year, how do you feel about taking a look back? Feel like knowing which artists have been on top during this year? Any guesses?

With no further ado: 2019‘s biggest albums until the moment

If I give you the name of one album, will you be able if it made the top three selling albums? Do you want to try? Let’s say Taylor Swift’s 7th album Lover – do you think it made it to the top of the list?

Let’s find out!

So far, the first 5 biggest albums of 2019 have been:

1. The Greatest Showman

A few months ago we talked about Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, do you remember? If not, read about them here. They wrote the music for Hugh Jackman’s star-studded musical movie that came out on December 2017!! Almost two years later, the  soundtrack for the movie is biggest album number 1! How amazing is that? Were you expecting it? I surely wasn’t!

2. Lewis Capaldi

I must confess that this one came out as a big surprise for me. First and foremost because I did not know Lewis Capaldi! After doing a little research, I learnt that this 23-years-old Scottish artist has been making himself a spot in the music industry since he wa sonly 17. His debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, has been at the top for a very long time and became a massive hit all over the world, especially in the UK. If, like me, you were oblivious of this young artist, take a listen to his music here! What do you think?

3. Ed Sheeran

The third spot in this rank is also for a Brittish. In this case, it goes to our favorite ginger. And of course you will know who I’m talking about: Ed Sheeran. In his latest album, No.6 Collaborations Project, he puts together some of the most notable artists of the moment like Camila Cabello, Khalid, or Eminem.

Not only the collaborations are out of this world, but you should check the videos of his songs as well:

4. George Ezra

And yet another Brit! Ezra’s Shotgun has been played in radios of all around the world. His powerful-low voice will not leave anyone indifferent, and neither will his eclectic style. He also started at the music industry at a very young age, and his debut album came out in 2014 when he was only 21 years old!

5. Billie Eilish

And last but not least, 17-year-old Billie Eilish’s debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? also made it to your ranking! Her aethereal, whispery, and dark voice has made her a sensation all over the world. She works hand in hand with his older brother, Finneas O’Connell, who works as her producer and co-writer.

The video of her single is something you definitely will not wanna miss:

Hey, are you aware that 4 of these artists are born in the 1990’s and one even in the early 2000’s? It looks like these new generations of artists are here to stay as their presence is stronger and stronger every day.

Who do you think was also on the top artists list of 2019? Feel free to tell us in the comments!
