Our standard-price vocal lead sheets include three things: the lead vocal melody line, the lyrics under the staff, and the chord symbols above the staff.
If you would like us to include more (e.g. backing vocals) or less (e.g. only the vocal melody line) just let us know and we will adjust the price accordingly!
The vocal line includes only the notes being sung by the vocalist, which we write out on the musical staff. When we refer to the lyrics, we are talking about the text we add below the musical notes.
Chord symbols are always written above the staff and provide the harmonic information of the piece. A couple of examples of chord symbols are Em, Ab, and G7.
Guitarists, pianists, bassists, and other musicians should be able to follow them to accompany the singer.
Yes, definitely. We can do it for a small extra cost.
Yes! Let us know how many backing vocals you want and the vocal ranges of your singers. For example: SSA backing vocals (soprano 1, soprano 2, alto).
We work with tons of singers and songwriters! We’ll transcribe your song making sure it’s 100% true to the original, and we’ll include the copyright footer that you provide. You can then register it with a copyright organization.
You can rest assured that we will not share or distribute your music.
Absolutely! Let us know what key you want it in, or what your vocal range is, and we’ll transpose it to suit your voice perfectly!
If we have transcribed the piece for you, we’ll change the key at no extra cost.
If you already have the sheet music and would just need a transposition, we have a specialized transposing service for just that!
Yes, we include up to 3 free transpositions with every order! Just let us know what you need. If you’re not sure, we can send you a couple of transpositions in nearby keys so that you can try them and find the best one.
We work with a lot of composers and songwriters! Regarding the sheet music we create, we withhold no rights and will never publish or sell anything that belongs to you. We are a trustworthy company, but if you still have doubts, we’re happy to sign an NDA for you!
Certainly! Send us a recording of you singing it and don’t worry if it’s not perfect! Our experienced transcribers will be able to get the gist of the tune and can amend the notes that are off.
Yes, we can 🙂 You can record the song on your phone or any other recording device – that’s absolutely fine for us!
Certainly! We have worked on many projects like this! You can send us your ideas of melodies and lyrics and our songwriters will help you develop them into full songs. Our piano transcribers can also create beautiful piano accompaniments for the songs.
If you would like to make the project even larger, we can eventually create arrangements for a pit orchestra too!
We can add lyrics in English, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German, Russian, Catalan and Japanese. For any other language, if you send us the hyphenated lyrics, we can certainly add them too! Here’s an example of hyphenation: hy-phen-at-ed lyr-ics. (The lyrics should be romanized if the language uses a different script).
We can transcribe all songs and music genres! Send us your songs and we’ll transcribe them – whether it’s piano covers, guitar TABs, jazz solos, vocals, orchestral themes, or original compositions. We’ve got you covered!
All music styles, all genres: pop, jazz, Broadway, rock, classical, R&B, blues, reggae, country, hip-hop, EDM, folk, African music, Indian music… you name it!

If we transcribe your original music, we will not withhold any rights on the transcriptions. The scores provided will belong to you – you can distribute, share, and sell them as you wish.
We transcribe and arrange music by ear, manually typing it into our music notation software note-by-note. This is a detailed and thorough process. We do not use any music transcription software because it delivers poor results and at My Sheet Music Transcriptions, we strive to provide a world-class transcription service.
All of our transcribers are professional musicians who take pride in their craft.
We are a team of 40+ professional musicians, transcribers, arrangers, and composers. Our headquarters are in Barcelona, where we started our journey, but we now work with musicians from all around the world – mainly across the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe – with a strong presence in New York and London! Our mission is to spread music globally through customized transcriptions and arrangements.
We have been growing since 2011, and have completed more than 32,000 transcriptions so far. We believe a friendly customer service and a talented group of music transcribers is the best way to provide you with the sheet music you have always wanted.
We have an extensive and diverse clientele: from original composers and songwriters who want their music transcribed to music lovers who want to play their favorite songs but cannot find the sheet music online, and gigging musicians who don’t have the time to create their sheet music themselves.
Our work ranges from big projects with orchestras, bands, musicals, and schools to individual projects, with both professional and amateur musicians.
What we all have in common is that music is our passion 🙂
